Kimono Bags

It has been almost one year that I bought these beautiful fabrics in the city of Nara, in Japan.
This was the day I bought the fabrics in a small shop.

But this is my favorite part of this city.
So I had these very nice memories from there and these very pretty pieces of fabric. Altough I had no idea idea of what to do with them.

After holding on to them for these past months, I finally knew what to do.
I saw these pretty bags called Phoebe Bags, and I even found a free pattern. The designer is called Rebeka Lambert and the pdf pattern is on this link, if you want to make.

I decided to be brave and started cutting my precious fabric.
On my first bag, I used one kanzashi flower I made before.
For the next bags I made more kanzashi.
And I decided to use some beads to decorate.
Then went off to make the other bags.
I chose some cute fabrics for the inside lining, too.
And my Nara collection is finished.
Now I really hope I can go back there soon, to get more fabric.
