Taekwondo Candy Tower.

Every year our taekwondo school has a picnic in the park. We all bring dishes, but this year I was lazy and just brought a bunch o candy.
But for that I had to make a little display.

I got some supplies to make the base.

And made the big base with some leftover foam board.
I covered the board in nice paper.
And started placing the candy around.
And placed the other supplies on top to fill with candy.

After I couldn't fit anymore candy, I cut some paper figures on my Cricut machine.
Making sure I made a sign on top.
I think it got to the kids attention, because there was no more candy at the end of the picnic.

That made me very happy.

Cardboard Jetpack

My son showed me a cartoon with a policeman in a Jetpack, I thought it was so cool I wish we had one. That is how I started making this one.

I started cutting out cardboard boxes to shape something like a Sci Fi jetpack.

I glued everything with hot glue and had my son paint it in black.
After the body was done, we could work on the details. I showed my oldest son how to work on Illustrator, to make me some gears.
After the illustration was done, I transfer to my Cricut machine to cut.

Then I glued to the body.
Other details were added to make look like a machine.
I went to the craft store and to the hardware store to find more details.

After more glueing and painting, the side tanks needed a top.
The only things it had the shape I wanted were plastic gallons.
This way I could connect the tubes.
But it still needed something else. So I grabbed more cardboard.
Last part was to connect everything together.
I ripped a backpack to use the straps.
So I glued in the back for my son to carry comfortably.
Now it is ready, too bad it does not fly. That would be awesome.
